Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 July 2026
In this privacy policy you will find more information about visits to the website of Marlo Laubscher Attorneys and the use of it. Website address is https://www.laubslaw.co.za
We at Marlo Laubscher Attorneys are sensitive to privacy issues and recognise the importance of safe guarding all information we receive from you. This privacy policy applies to data provided by you and collected by us through our website, email and any other online or offline services. We will only use the information to provide a more personalised experience. We will make sure that all personal information is treated in accordance with the data privacy legislation.
Collection of your personal information
You are able to visit our website without supplying any information about yourself. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of the requests made to the site, which record the page requested, your IP address, your browser type and the date and time. These logs are a normal part of running and securing a website. We do not use analytics software, we do not build a profile of your visit, and we do not track you across other websites.
When you contact us via a website contact form, we will ask you to provide us with personal information, such as your name, email address, telephone nr, etc. We require this information to process your enquiry so that we can provide you with the information you requested. We will keep this information as long as it is necessary.
Security and protection of your personal information
The protection of your personal information is very important to us. However, when transmitting personal information over the internet, please remember that no transmission over the internet can ever be guaranteed to be secure. Therefore, please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any personal information that you transfer over the internet to us.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. We run no analytics, no advertising tags and no visitor tracking of any kind, and we store nothing in your browser between visits.
The one exception is the map showing our office, which appears on our home page and our service pages and is embedded from Google Maps. It loads only if you scroll down to it, so if you do not reach it, nothing is requested from Google at all. When it does load, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, and if you are signed in to a Google account it may associate the visit with that account. We have set the map so that Google is not told which page you were reading. The map cannot see where you are: it shows a fixed pin on our office and never asks for your location. We receive nothing back from Google and cannot see who has viewed it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop any part of this website working, apart from the embedded map.
Other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites. We try to only link to websites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, but we are not in any way responsible for the content or the practices used on these other websites.

We can change this privacy policy at any time. The updated policy will be published on our website so that you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it, and under which circumstances we disclose it. We encourage you to periodically review this policy so that you know how we protect your information.
